The Pfizer Educational Grant in Haemostasis is a continuously running program, financially supported by Pfizer Belgium. The grant is intended to support young clinicians and scientists who want to gain expertise at another treatment center or research laboratory in relation to their education or scientific research in the field of haemostasis.
Application modalities: Candidates should submit a written application including curriculum vitae, project description and motivation to the Clinical and Scientific Evaluation Committee. The application should also include an estimation of the travel and accommodation costs involved. Candidates and research must be related to a Belgian treatment center or university. The application must be supported by the department head of the candidate and must be accompanied by a written approval from the department head of the treatment center or research unit where he/she will acquire the expertise. The grant is intended to support young clinicians and scientists in the development of their career. The age of the applicant should therefore not exceed 45 years. Applications may be submitted at all times, but at least 6 weeks before the start of the stay. Applications for the running year should be submitted at latest on September 30. The selected candidate(s) will officially receive the grant(s) during the annual meeting of the BSTH.
Clinical and Scientific Evaluation Committee:
The evaluation, nomination and final selection is the responsibility of the board members of the Belgian Society for Thrombosis and Haemostasis who will decide for the running year after September 30. Value of the grant: The maximum yearly budget is 6000 Euro. Management of this budget is the responsibility of the Clinical and Scientific Evaluation Committee.
